The motivation behind this project was to design a water bottle that enters a market space not traditionally associated with the category. The goal was to create a product that bridges accessibility and everyday functionality specifically addressing the needs of individuals who experience challenges with strength, grip, mobility, or handling heavier objects.
While the design was developed with elderly users in mind, it was intentionally created as an inclusive solution. The product is adaptable to any age group, provided it serves the user’s functional needs and enhances their daily experience.
As with many design projects, this concept would benefit from continued iteration and refinement. With additional research, user testing, and expanded technical knowledge, there are opportunities to further elevate performance and usability. However, the current outcome establishes a strong and thoughtful foundation demonstrating clear intent, problem-solving direction, and the potential to evolve as insights deepen over time.
